His fingers found metal, still warm from the shots; he closed his hand around it, because it was the first thing that made sense.
Where are the Daleks? There had been a searing white light … No, that had been the shot that should have killed him. Had he only imagined the pain?
It had must have been a near miss - hasn't it?
