"What's happening?" he asked. "Zoë, are you all right?"

"Of course I am." Zoë sounded a little muffled from being bent over the sink, but otherwise normal.

The Doctor, standing by the pump handle, nodded. "Zoë's just washing her hair. No need to panic."

"But there was screaming!"

"Ah." The Doctor chuckled. "I don't think Zoë was expecting the water to be quite so cold."

"She needs toughening up," Jamie laughed.

Zoë wrung out her hair.

"All right," she said. "You put your head under that pump. I dare you."
