"Did you both enjoy yourselves?" the Second Doctor asked.

"Oh, I think so," Victoria said. "Didn't we, Zoë?"

Zoë didn't immediately answer; all her attention was devoted to seating herself, very slowly and carefully, with occasional slight winces.

"Ye-es," she said, having finally got into her chair. "But I'm sure I shall be black and blue tomorrow. You wouldn't think it to look at her, would you?"

The Doctor raised his eyebrows. "Whatever do you mean?"

"The next time we go paintballing," Zoë said firmly, "I want Victoria on my side. Why didn't you tell me she's a crack shot?"
