The advancing Dalek patrol careened to a sudden stop, and Rory would have sworn he heard squeaks.
He risked a glimpse back, expecting to see the Doctor.
Instead, he saw a woman not much older than he was, with a metal bat in one hand, and a can of something in the other.
"Tachyon presence increased. New intruder identified! Daleks retreat!"
With some bumping and chaos, the Daleks tried to move away from them.
"Don't think we've met," Rory said, clearing his throat.
"Ace; you should run," before she pitched the can in the middle of the Daleks.
Rory ran.
