Tegan studied the motionless form before her. “What are you?”
The form lifted its head. “I am Kamelion. I can be whatever you want me to be. You have only to think it and I will be so.”
“The Doctor thinks you'll cause trouble. He wouldn't have locked you up in here, otherwise.”
Kamelion said nothing.
“I suppose it makes no difference. The Doctor explained you're a machine, that you have no feelings.”
Kamelion remained silent.
“Do you need anything?”
“I should like to be touched,” Kamelion said as it held out its hand.
Tegan took it in her own.
