There are cracks in the universe. Big gaping ones and tiny little fractures. Most people barely even notice the big ones, but Jenny can't look away. Some of them she can fix and some she can't, an inheritance of sorts. Some from the war her dad spoke about; some far newer.
They call to her. They smell of tea, thunderstorms and somehow inexplicably of home. In those cracks she finds little slivers of blue painted wood. Jenny doesn't know what exploded, all she knows is that the sight of them causes an ache in her heart that she can't explain.
