Rory has steady hands. He can sew up injuries in all sorts of conditions, A&E on a Saturday night, middle of an alien invasion, on a spaceship that's shaking apart and even when he himself is badly injured. What he cannot do is sew up his own injuries.
The Doctor takes the supplies away from Rory and carefully sets to work. His stitches are small and neat, with precision borne of long practice. He talks as he works, voice as steady as his hands, history and hope about the world they've just saved. Repairing wounds that no one else sees.
