Accident and Emergency is Rory's saving grace. On one hand he can bury himself in work, and always come home tired enough to sleep before his head hits the pillow. On the other the memory of one hellish 16 hour shift hungover in A&E as a student keeps him away from the booze when the silence of Amy's absence overwhelms him.
He socialises with his workmates, catches up with old friends, sees films that she would hate. Keeping busy, far too busy for anyone who looks too closely.
Doesn't think about the one person for whom he's never too busy.
